Trains

The closest train stations to Paddington are: Central, Museum, Edgecliff and Bondi Junction

  1. Take the train to Museum station and get any of Sydney buses no: 380, 333, 440 or M40 (red bus) up Oxford St and get off at the first stop after Paddington Town Hall. (Bus tickets available at the kiosk at the bottom of the stairs at Museum station)
  2. Take the train to Central Station, take the Eddy Av Exit and go to Stand C 
    Take the 391 bus (Sydney Buses). Bus ticket available from kiosk at station. Get off at Flinders St near South Dowling St, Darlinghurst (Stop 201014) and walk 10/15 minutes to get to Oxford Street.
  3. Take the train to Central Station, take the Eddy Av Exit and go to Stand B 
    Take the 311 bus (Sydney Buses). Bus ticket available from kiosk at station. Get off at Oxford St near Darlinghurst Rd, Darlinghurst (Stop 201062) and walk for about 10 minutes to get to Paddington.
  4. Take the train to Edgecliff Station, walk 900 mtr to Moncur St Near Jersey Rd and take the 389 bus (Sydney Buses). Get off at Glenmore Rd corner Heeley St (Five Ways) and you’re only 500 mtr away from Oxford St.
  5. Take the train to Bondi Junction, walk 1 minute to Bondi Junction Station, Grafton St, Stand R and take the 333 bus (Sydney Buses).

Walking to Paddington:

Oxford Street is an enjoyable 20/30 minute walk from Hyde Park and Museum station depending where you’re heading.

Check out the creative atmosphere of the Arts Precinct, starting right after Barcom Avenue and developing on Oxford St up to Greens Road.

Turn into Glenmore Road and explore The Intersection, home of the Australian Fashion with its bespoke designer boutiques. Keep walking and get to Five Ways, with three streets crossing Glenmore Road; Five Ways is lined with buildings that date from the 1800s and the beginning of the last century. There are some great sidewalk cafés here, serving excellent coffees.

Back to Oxford St enjoy the buzz of the street filled with local designers and quality Australian made fashion, accessories and home wares.

Turn into William Street, home of home of intriguing fashion boutiques, designer flagship stores, art galleries, pubs, cafes,Hair dressers,Home wares and more!

By Car

Almost all street-parking in Paddington is restricted to 1 hour parking between 8AM – 10PM (7 days). Parking restrictions are enforced, so please check street signs carefully.
